The short and sweet: Tibia does enjoy sweet things, but is not short at all. She is a supermodel by day, and a HUNGRY one at that. Her favorite food is eggs (poached or fried, but preferably poached).
Born to an Irish family, Tibia grew up in Spanish Harlem. She would always get her eggs “tibios,” soft-boiled, which led her neighbors to dub her “Tibita.” As her legs grew, however, she decided to grow with them — out of the diminutive and into the full-fledged adjective, Tibia.
A supermodel by day, Tibia moonlights at the Poetry Brothel. While she’s constantly trying to tie opposite ends together — being skinny, but eating richly, and so many eggs — she comes to her poems to idealize the untouchable, to write about food.

Sarah Simon is a poet, photographer, yogi, Bob Dylan admirer, average ukulele player, teacher, and student of psychology and Spanish. Also, I should mention – she’s a New Yorker, and therefore an avid walker; you won’t find her in the suburbs, and it is a danger to humanity that she even has a driver’s license. A recent graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo (SUNY Geneseo), she earned a B.A. in psychology, and then left to teach English in Ecuador. As of March 2019, she will again leave to teach English as a Fulbright grantee in Uruguay. Hasta luego, ella dice, besitos. Sarah will be publishing core collection: poems about eating disorders in the spring of 2019 with Adelaide Books.
